Does Corrosion Keep You Awake at Night? MFG4 Hartford 2012

We recently exhibited Intercept Technology Packaging at MFG4 in Hartford, CT, an event hosted and produced by SME (Society of Manufacturing Engineers), which provided a bird's eye view of amazing and innovative technology in the fields of medicine, aerospace, defense and energy.

We met people working in all four of these industries who shared stories of new technology in fuel cells, techniques for prolonging the lives of cardiology patients, materials for building ever-more-precise machine tools for forming, calibrating and measuring metals, CAD/CAM software that allows for more complex plastic parts molds and so much more.

Each day brought a new influx of visitors to our booth, including machinists, quality engineers, R&D engineers, CEOs, inventors, and even high school students on day three. It was entirely our pleasure to meet all visitors and pose this question: "Does corrosion keep you awake at night?" Despite the varied humorous retorts having to do with how creaky their joints feel upon awakening each morning, we learned that many employed in manufacturing find themselves challenged by the degradation caused by corrosive gas. Our solution to this problem? Intercept Technology Packaging.

Please enjoy our quick video from the floor at MFG4:

Intercept Technology Packaging products fit within a sustainability strategy because they are reusable, recyclable, do not contain or use volatile components (No VOCs, Not a VCI) and leave a smaller carbon footprint than most traditional protective packaging products.
